A love story of two black teenagers whose complexions cause soul stirring conflicts in the communities which they live. Faith, a dark skinned girl born into a middle class light skinned family and Kimba, biracial with white features, is growing up in a single mom household in the rough projects of Detroit. They find peace and love in each other until one night, unfortunate events pull them apart. She thinks he's dead, he thinks she abandoned him. 10 years later, after vowing never to return to Detroit again, they find themselves back in the city, the same weekend.
