It is generally accepted that Humanity has limits especially in the face of seemingly intractable difficulties. In this treatise, King David is chosen and examined as the authentic exemplar of the faithful political life because of his faith in God and the Nation. A nation may suffer because the leadership has erred or is corrupt. A nation may also suffer because the people are an erring people. In both instances, the leadership bears a responsibility to correct what is wrong. And that can only be done by wisdom. This wisdom is the word of God, now referred to as Christ.
