This is the story of how a wacky group of lovable dinosaurs put together the very first birthday party. The story take place in the enchanted land of Chuckle-Giggle-Nu. All of the dinosaurs are concerned about the smoke and noise coming out of the Chuckle-Giggle-Nu volcano. Suddenly it erupts and the shaking and pressure blows Archie's egg out of it's nest and it is found by Trudy, a purple Triceratops. Archie the blue Pterodactyl becomes friends with Trudy, and for a year she tries to help Archie to learn how to fly. Archie become frustrated and very sad about his inability to fly no-matter how hard he tries. Several dinosaurs gather and decide to celebrate his one year anniversary by surprising him with a party, They hope this will cheer him up. Rexton and Albert, two villains dinosaurs hear about the party and decide to wreck the party and take the yummy cake for themselves. Trudy finds out about their dastardly plan and makes a fake cake from mud, and allow the two villains to swipe it! By the time the two villains figure out that their ill-gotten cake is made of mud, the rest of the dinosaurs are at the real party eating ice cream, cake, dancing and having fun.
