About This Book

The horrific experiences that African slaves, and people of African ancestry encountered are so vast it is impossible for many volumes to detail their entire journey let alone one. These experiences are well worth reading about. Beginning in the 1400s there was a collaborative effort to enslave Africans while financially amassing wealth. Eventually the Caribbean islands, South America and North America became the destination places for gaining enormous wealth in the slave trade. African slaves are and have always been human beings, but those who wanted slavery to continue contradicted this, eventually culminating in a Civil War. This book details who the major players were, and what happened in the beginning, during the middle and after the Civil War. In addition it details considerably the lasting disparity of wealth. It also addresses the erroneous narrative that “uncivilized” African slaves, and eventually their ancestors, needed to be made “civil” and that the institution of slavery, certain laws and incarceration would accomplish that task. The value of this book is that despite the inaccurate depiction of African ancestry, their understanding of genuine dignity included them. Through the challenging and slow ascent, African decendants did reached the pinnacle of this nations highest leadership position as Commander and Chief despite erroneous Notions of Dignity. Lastly, it disclosures, “that all men are created equal” to those of African ancestry and others that they are indeed possessors of dignity, despite the lingering conflicting divergences that speak otherwise.
